Donnie G MonroeJanuary 10, 2017
Mr. Donnie G. Monroe, was born on October 26, 1956 to the late Wilma Jane Monroe and Delton Monroe, Jr. in Scotland County, North Carolina. On the evening of Tuesday, January 10, 2017, God saw he was getting tired and allowed him to quietly slip away to Glory. He is now resting from his labor to his sweet reward.
Donnie was educated in Hoke County Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1975. He later continued his education at Sandhills Community College. He was employed with the Hoke County Schools Maintenance Department.
To know Donnie was to love him. He was a caring and loving person to everyone that he came in contact with. He was a handy man and could fix or build anything he put his mind to. Donnie’s heart was always and still will be with his wife until the end.
Awaiting his arrival around heaven’s throne is his loving and devoted parents, Wilma Jane Monroe and Delton Monroe, one sister Jackie Monroe, and one brother Calvin Monroe.
He leaves to cherish his loving and profound memories; his wife Patricia Thomas, one son Cedrick Monroe (Marcella) of Hopkinsville, KY, two daughters Latoria Davis (Eric) of Raeford, NC, and Jacqueline Monroe and (George) of Raeford, NC, two brothers Charles Monroe (Elizabeth) and Lynwood Monroe (Marilyn), four grandsons: Jalen, Javion, Travis, Zymere, four grand daughters: Zymana, Zymeria, Nyasia, Jaya, four sister in laws: Ann Monroe, Margaret McLean, Loriene McLean, Helen Thomas, and two brother in laws: Linburgh Thomas and Alfonza Thomas, his devoted and dear friends: Rev.
